I was having reflux symptoms which I had had since a child.
During my adult life, with the reflux becoming progressively worse, it was suggested to me by my doctor that I have an endoscopy to make sure there wasn’t damage or Barrett’s Disease from the acid reflux.
In 2003 a biopsy was done at the time of the endoscopy, and it was discovered I had Coeliac Disease which I knew nothing about. I was 47 years old.
