My 6yo son was diagnosed just before Christmas with Coeliac. Despite years of blood tests, it was our dentist who told us something wasn’t right, which eventually lead to the diagnosis. This seems to be a symptom that doesn’t appear to be included in the awareness campaigns.

We are fortunately also part of the ENDIA study and have been so grateful for their support during the diagnosis as well.

There is another girl in my son’s class who was also diagnosed last year – I have a few observations in regards to that as well where both of these very clever and social children were recommended for OT, play therapy etc and categorised to have ‘behavioural issues’. Would love to see more awareness for teachers too.
